WHAT TO EXPECT & WHEN TO BOOK MATERNITY PHOTOS

Here at Milk Photography Studio Auckland, we are dedicated professional maternity photographers specialising in capturing the precious moments of your baby’s life from pregnancy to birth, and beyond.

Maternity photography is all about celebrating the beauty of pregnancy, allowing you to look back on just how beautiful you looked (even if you didn’t feel very glamorous!), and to truly appreciate your amazing body. We highly recommend pampering yourself first with one of our makeup artists.

WHATS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

Pregnancy & maternity photos would have to be my favourite photoshoot. For me it's all about a clean modern aesthetic, I like my clients to feel empowered during this time, so they have something beautiful to look back on.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

As I typically book out several months in advance, I encourage you to book as early as possible in your pregnancy to avoid disappointment. The best time frame for maternity photos is 30-36 weeks of pregnancy, when your tummy is visibly round. Talk to us about our bumps and babes sessions, this covers your pregnancy and newborn photoshoot session fees, the price is $300, products are purchased separately.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

As little or as much as you like. I always like to chat over the phone first to make sure we’re both on the same page with our ideas. We have a diverse range of maternity gowns available for you to wear.

HOW LONG DO MATERNITY SESSIONS LAST?

Maternity sessions are a lot of fun and a great chance for us to get to know each other before your baby's newborn session, check out some of our newborn work here https://www.milkphotography.co.nz/work/newborn. Maternity photography sessions usually take about 45 mins to 1 hour, in that time I aim to do a variety of poses, setups and outfit changes.

WHERE DO MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS TAKE PLACE? DO YOU OFFER OUTDOOR MATERNITY SESSIONS?

Our pregnancy photography can take place at my light and bright studio, or if you’re wanting to go on location, we'll need somewhere isolated. Location pregnancy photoshoots need to be photographed an hour before sunset, this is due to the best lighting, shoots like these normally take place between Jan- March.

HOW ARE YOUR MATERNITY SESSIONS PRICED?
