To celebrate your baby's first birthday milestone, nothing beats a cake smash photography session with Milk Photography Studio Auckland.

The concept is simple, take a perfectly good cake and allow your baby to smash it to pieces.

This session is loads of fun and very amusing, we like to allow time to get family photos first and some non themed photos just so you have variety, but also just in case your baby doesn’t find the whole cake smash thing funny at all.

The result of our cake smash photography sessions is to create a selection of photos you can celebrate and treasure of your baby’s first birthday, parents like use these photos to put on their baby’s birthday invitation too.

We have lots of bright coloured themed cakes that can be used for your cake smash photo shoot. Or you’re welcome to bring your own, no need to buy an expensive cake, after all it will just get smashed from your baby. We can add in pretty coloured decorations or you may have spoken to us about a theme you like.

Sometimes babies are reluctant to eat the cake, so we like to allow time for babies to warm up and test it.

Cake smash photo shoots can create a mess so we advise to bring a spare change of clothes for your baby.
